Deep Breathwork is a wonderful and transformative practice!
Please take a moment to read the following to ensure it’s safe for you to participate. If anything feels uncertain, I’m happy to suggest alternative ways to breathe, and I encourage you to consult your doctor if needed.
Breathwork Participation Guidelines & Contraindications
I am participating in breathwork sessions with Camilla Drema.
I understand that Deep Breathwork is a powerful and transformative practice that may involve strong connected breathing, emotional release, and physical exertion. Because of this, it is important that I am in adequate physical and mental health to safely participate.
I acknowledge that breathwork may not be safe for individuals with certain medical conditions, including but not limited to:
Cardiovascular disease or prior heart attack
High blood pressure
Use of prescription blood thinners (e.g., Coumadin)
Epilepsy or seizure disorders
Glaucoma or osteoporosis
Severe asthma
Bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or dissociative disorders
History of significant trauma
Pregnancy
I understand that if any of these conditions apply to me, I should consult my doctor before participating and inform Camilla prior to attending a session.
I recognize that breathwork can sometimes be physically, emotionally, or mentally intense, and I take responsibility for my own well-being during and after the sessions. Camilla is happy to recommend alternative ways to breathe if the standard practices do not feel suitable.
I understand that participation is voluntary, and that I should seek professional medical or psychological support if needed before or after a session.
